About these Glasses

These classic 50s glasses are dedicated to Jazz Great Roy Eldridge (1911-1989). Trumpeter. Nicknamed ‘Little Jazz’, he was the featured soloist in Artie Shaw and Gene Krupa's bands, which was something of an exception, as black musicians in the 1930s were not allowed to appear in public with white bands.


Black Eyewear is a brand of designer glasses & sunglasses based on original vintage designs from the 40s, 50 & 60s. This frame can be fitted with prescription lenses.
